What if the joy of landing a great career after college wasn't dampened by the reality of hefty college loans?

Over 80% of Black students must take out loans in order to pursue a college degree. Thereafter adversely impacting their post-college earnings, home ownership affordability, paying off other debt, contributing reasonably to savings and overall wealth accumulation. It’s a disproportionate weight.
For a majority of HBCU students, Aid makes college possible. But at what cost? According to a study done by Sandy Baum for the American Council on Education, “Student debt is more of a burden for African American students than for others. The financial resources available to them before, during, and after college are very limited.” – Student Debt: The Unique Circumstances of African American Studies.
