Together, let’s embolden and amplify voices of Black college students and advance their civic engagement.
In the form of a one-day summit, Black college students will gather to discourse on key areas of national interest to activate their civic and political involvement.
A one of its kind, students are the panelists and key stakeholders such as elected officials and civic organization leaders are the primary audience.
Black students attending ANY college or university in the United States can submit a panelist application and are encouraged to attend.
Moderated by distinguished correspondents and subject matter experts, the panels will focus on crowd-sourced national issues that shape their perspectives.
Black students don’t find their voices and viewpoints adequately represented in the media. Inviting media coverage to conduct interviews of panelists and student attendees, challenges that.
Democrat, Republican, Independent – what’s the difference anyway? Elected officials are invited to engage in a moderated discussion to expound on civic engagement beyond the vote.
Starting with a fireside chat, attendees convene to first hear perspectives from elected officials and civic organization leaders, and thereafter share their own perspectives and queries.
