Elected officials and civic leaders owe it to the next generation, to hear what they have to say about issues they care about and to give them opportunity to get involved.
With their presence, engagement and provision of access, the summit provides a platform for elected officials and civic leaders to impress upon Black students that their voice is valued and their involvement necessary.
Your next congressional intern, policy wonk, social justice crusader and all round civic minded future leader will be present at this Summit. Give them access to you. Your presence as a stakeholder is fundamental. Interested stakeholders should expect that they will not be the ones in the spotlight, but instead serve in the role of listening, understanding, challenging and championing the future thought leaders.
